That means that if you live only for your own corporal welfare you will forfeit your eternal destination with God in heaven. If you trust God and effect his directions you will not only be fulfilled in this life, you will enjoy the glories of heaven in the next. Life is not about us. It is about God. He created life and made us a part of it. He formed each of us in the womb and planned where we would live.
God has a purpose for your life. It involves living faithfully and doing what you can for his cause. He gave you some special talents that you can use for that. Get trained in the things you love to do and do them for him.
Quit struggling with life. Relax and trust God. A man’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand his own way (Proverbs 20:24)? Let him lead you. Direct your steps according to his word. He will not let sin rule over you (Psalm 119:133). Learn about God and his word the Bible. Do what you can for his cause. Do not surrender your life to alcohol or drugs. Surrender to Jesus Christ. He will give you peace that the world cannot give (John 14:27). He will bless you and make your life fruitful.
